Use this feature to perform a surgical search across the stock ledger, transactions, and items. Enter or scan a transaction number or item number into the search box, then click the "Search" button to quickly locate the associated records. This is ideal for barcode or QR code-based lookups.

Quick Search allows you to perform a fast, targeted lookup across transactions, stock ledger, and items using a transaction number, item number, barcode, or QR code.

  • Transaction – Opens a specific PR, PO, IAR, RIS, ISS, or RLS transaction if you have access rights.
  • Ledger – Opens the stock ledger of an item showing all movements and balances.
  • Item – Opens the item master record for viewing or editing.

  1. Select what you want to search (Transaction, Ledger, or Item).
  2. Enter or scan the transaction number or item number.
  3. Click Search or press Enter.
  4. The system automatically opens the matching record.

Access to search results is controlled by user role and department:
  • Admin / BAC / Warehouse – Full access
  • End-Users – Can only open transactions belonging to their department
  • Unauthorized access will display tracking information instead

  • Searching... – The system is locating the record
  • Transaction cannot be found – Invalid reference number
  • You cannot access its details – Insufficient permission
  • Item cannot be found – Invalid or inactive item code

  • Use barcode or QR scanning for fastest results
  • Double-check transaction numbers before searching
  • Use Ledger search to audit stock movements
  • Clear the search box before performing a new lookup
